Business (true) Class: a chef and a bed! What more could you want?

Austrian Airlines (#austrianairlines)…Business Class was truly classy, with a chef and bed!

We rarely can afford Business Class, but we decided for this overnight flight, we’d splurge. But this was like being a fine dining experience that had a bed, and a many wearing a chef uniform and hat (photo below)! The food was amazing, the plates in triangles that all fit together and came in a smooth succession.

We started with a tiny plate of nuts and champagne. Then, a perfectly done filet mignon with a light brown sauce over a bed of potato mash and green beans — the true test was that the beans were not soggy. the chef, hat and all, wandered up and down the aisle, taking orders, asking for feedback.

The art was in the attention to details.

They even included a tiny little clothespin to attach the napkin to your collar! Details!

It was truly classy, delicious, comfortable, luxurious and worth every dime.

We have done four Business Class flights over the past several years: EVA (Taiwan’s airlines very comfortable and highly attentive service)), American Airlines (so-so but pretty good) and British Airlines (way too old interior/pods annoying and the service and food shoddy…I look forward to the day I never have to fly in a 747 again; and the BA service was sloppy and chaotic). #britishairways
